please suggest some home remedies for cough and cold. My daughter couldn't sleep at night becoz of cough and cold. i gave her 2.5ml of citrizen and 5ml of ambrodil-s as suggested by her doctor but still she couldn't sleep. she also had fever for past three days i am giving her paracetamol 3.5ml, but still she is getting fever. kindly suggest.

Cough along with Cold most of the time is a  viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be given only after a proper evaluationst by the doctor according to the type of cough.
if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .
