#asktheexperts Hello Dr. Baby is suffering from could and cough and nasal block from last 3 days our doc gave colicaid drops but this didn't clear

A. yeah sorry naso clear is given for cold but I'd not work

A. If your baby has had cold, cough, and nasal blockage for the last three days and colic drops haven’t helped, it’s important to understand that colic drops are usually meant for gas relief and won’t treat cold symptoms. For nasal congestion, you can try using a saline nasal spray or drops to help loosen mucus, and gently suction the nose with a bulb syringe to clear the nasal passages. Make sure your baby stays well hydrated and keep the room humid with a cool mist humidifier. If the symptoms persist beyond a week, worsen, or if your baby develops a fever, difficulty breathing, or poor feeding, you should consult your pediatrician again for proper diagnosis and treatment. Avoid giving any over-the-counter cough or cold medicines without medical advice, as they are generally not recommended for infants.
