#asktheexperts Hello Doctor, my baby girl is 2.5 months old. She was born 3.9 kg and now her weight is 5.4 kg. Is it normal or her weight is less ?

A. yes good in first six months the minimum weight gain should be 500 mg per month and it can go up to 1 kg per month also. the urine output should be more than 6 to 7 times per day. the child should sleep after taking breastfeeding. meet the doctor for weightt assessment. if the above criteria is achieved then the child is having adequate breastfeeding

A. Hello dear parent! Your baby seems to be doing good. There should be a minimum weight gain of 400gms to 500gms in a month. Continue to exclusively breastfeed your baby well on demand. Regularly massage your baby with Babyhug cold pressed coconut oil. Good luck and take care.
