#asktheexperts can we use coconut oil before pumping? with new pumping machine , am facing irritation and skin peeling in nipple area

ExpertDr Bandana JoshiAyurvedic Physician1 month agoA. Yes you can use no problem and you can use extra virgin coconut oil for applying which can be used for cooking and salad dressings which is edible no problem in that

Okay so if you want to apply apply at least 20 minutes before you start using the breast pump because the oil should be soaked into the skin by then so if you want to use it there is no problem in that case it’s completely alright and just wash it properly just maintain proper sterilisation with the breast pump
