#asktheexpert will it cause any harm to kid if we use umbilical hernia belt for my 2 months old ? I have consulted a paediatrician, he said it's of no use, I'll will become normal in 6 months to 1 year of time. But the size of his Bellybutton is keep on increasing, we thought of trying the belt, will it cause any harm ?

POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 11 m old boy2 years agoA. Newborns can only apply the belt after the umbilical wound has completely healed. Use this product only under medical supervision! WHEN AND WHY TO USE: for conservative treatment of umbilical hernia for children aged up to six and prevention of abasement and impaction of hernia sac.
