#AskTheExpert what is the reason of nose blockage in newborns? how can we stop it permanently? my son is one month old and he hs nose blockage issue since 4th day after born ?

Nasoclear saline drops just clear the nasal block.
It doesn't help in decreasing nasal congestion.
But if nasal congestion is minimal
then better to avoid to give nasal drops in first 3months of age.
If significant nasal congestion night awakening exessive cry due to nasal congestion then give
Nasivion baby nasal drops 1drop in each nostril 4 times a day for 2 days only.
It will help

SanthoshiMom of a 8 yr old girl4 years agoA. As she is one month. home remedies are all good but it would take a longer time to recover. Babies cant bear for a long time. It's better to check with doctor once and you can treat with medicines and home remedies parallely, that will help on faster recovery for the baby.
