Q.

#asktheexpert what is the normal frequency of bowel movements in newborn of 2 week....he is on breast feeding only

A. it is totally normal for small children less than 6 months of age not to pass stool for 10 days also. it is also normal if they are passing stool more than 6 or 7 times per day. x if the consistency of the stool is Semi solid to solid there is no need to worry about the frequency as well as the colour (the colour can range from yellow brown green to black) of txhe stool. also straining while passing urine and stool is normal. Do burping for 15 to 20 minutes

A. hello the breastfeed baby can pass motion frequently or sometimes the baby can even go without passing motion even for a week and it is absolutely nothing to worry both is normal and any concern then you may check with your doctor she can guide you accordingly
