#asktheexpert what is the maximum number of days which is fine for a 5 month old baby on exclusive breastfeed to go without passing stool

You can wait till the time.
if baby is feeling discomfort Or crying continuously, then you can consult with your doctor for medication or get and glycerine suppository introduced into the anal region

Janani ViswanathanMom of 2 children1 Year agoA. Upto seven days. Touch and feel tge babys tummy. If its hardc or tge baby seems to show signs of discomfort like crying while oassing gas or is trying hard to poop then u should consult with ur doctor. Otherwise u can wait.
