Weaning food can be started from 5-6 months of age and in that initially in the stage 1 you can introduce some semi solid food to the baby like Banana mango plum boiled Apple and then gradually you can start with some Purii of carrot potato other foods which can be given are porridge of suji e sabuhdana can be prepared  in breast milk or formula milk.
initially you can start with one or two  tsp which can be gradually increased up till at least three meals in a day

hey hey mommy you can start with solids after the baby completes 6 months. time start with you can give mashed rice once a day. once the baby settles down with that you can add mashed dal. the next step would be to introduce vegetable and fruit purees. always remember to keep three days between two new ingredients and no salt and no sugar until the baby completes a year
