#asktheexpert tongue tied .. my 11 month son has his tongue tied since birth. should I cut it now or wait till he is older

POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 9 m old boy4 years agoA. Tongue-tie can improve on its own by the age of two or three years. Severe cases of tongue-tie can be treated by cutting the tissue under the tongue (the frenum). This is called a frenectomy.
