whenever there is confusion regarding the treatment given by your doctor and if you are not satisfied with the answers you can always take a second opinion of another doctor of the same field.
weather a particular investigation or treatment is proper or not can be confirmed only after taking relevant history and doing proper examination of the child which will be done by the second doctor.

Oh well if any medicine that you’re giving to the child has been suggested by the doctor and then it would be safe only because the doctors do not advise you with anything which would would not be correct or safe for your child so just trust your doctor and go for what they have to suggest you
