#asktheexpert She is under weight. So kindly advise how we can increase her weight.

A. Hi, if your baby is active, happy and reaching her milestones, then nothing to worry about her weight. baby's weight growth depends mostly on her birth weight, hence we can expect baby to gain about 500 gm to 1 kg in a month, double at 6 months and triple at the age of 1 year, small deviation is absolutely fine. continue exclusive breastfeeding for complete 6 months feed on regular intervals or on demand. maintain good hygiene avoid force feeding and overfeeding

A. thank you for reaching out to us with your question please note to help baby gain weight what you can do is video baby regularly mother's milk is the best for your baby until one you roll to continue to feed your regularly you can also feed her from one side per feeding session so she gets the hindmilk which is full of fats which will help you gain weight if you see no improvements with your pediatrician he will probably request if any formula milk is needed
