Q.
#AskTheExpert My son is one and 23 days old. I have been feeding him both breast milk and formula alternatively since 23 days. now he has been suffering from constipation for the last two weeks. I have given sugar water for 5 days. yesterday he pooped. but still now he has suffocations and not sleeping well

Cow's milk should be given to the baby only after completion of 1 year of age because the protein and fat in cow's milk is hard to digest before that and many a times there could be cow's milk protein allergy in babies and lactose intolerance which could be severe sometimes.
Also early introduction of cows milk can lead to iron deficiency anemia as cow's milk lacks iron and vit c . Also there could be micro bleeding in intestine bgeecause of the heavy protein of cow's milk .
