Q.

#AskTheExpert My son is not yet started to communicate with us. He is about 3 years and 8 months old. He has a cognitive delay. I could see that there were many kids around us have similar issues. The numbers are now increasing due to the current food habits and lifestyle. Can you suggest how we can improve them (kids with cognitive delay) ? Very much appreciate your inputs. Thank you.

A. It is not due to food habits but definitely due to Covid times it became challenging as kids could not go outside which lead to speech delay abd baby other behaviour problems do try to communicate more with the child

A. Hi mom Screen time on tv ur mobile is the main reason for speech delay. So limit the screen time and communicate with ur baby as much possible.. The more u communicate the sooner baby will learn to speak.. Give books of his age to read, let ur baby learn new words, help him explore things around.. It will be fine.. If no improvement then consult with the speech therapist for the same
