A. Cow's milk should not be introduced before the child turns one year old. Cow's milk has less iron content when compared to breast milk or iron fortified formula milk. Iron is very much essential for a baby during his or her first year of life. Giving cow's milk so early can cause iron deficiency anemia and also cause digestion related issues. In case breast milk production is less, after consulting with your doctor, introduce formula milk to your baby.
