#AskTheExpert my son is 33 days old. He is shaking and shivering his hands and leg while sleeping and then starts to cry. Is this normal?

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy3 years agoA. shivering in newborn can be due to startle reflex and less likely due to ccalcium deficiency. kindly continue to give breastfeeding to the child and take a video of the shivering and meet your doctor who will tell you whether it is normal startle reflex or it is due to hypocalcemia.

Shikha kumarMom of 2 children3 years agoA. yes mum it is absolutely normal definitely newborns are developing bodies and they have to develop a while with the growing age daily massage good feeding and helps it gradually and the sometime when child she was and shake and then cries it is because of the dreams they are having v
sleep so nothing to get over it is very natural
