#AskTheExpert my girl is 5months old , almost one month before she took her vaccine but frm past three to four days there is swelling n its has become like pimple on her left arm .sir what to do please suggest

A. This is due to the BCG vaccine administtered to the baby after birth and there is nothing to worry. A lump will be formed in about two months(after the vaccine) on the administered spot usually left upper arm wthich will look reddish with pus. This will heal on few weeks and form a scar which will stay permanent with the baby. This whole process may take two to five weeks. If the pus leaks or the lump does not subside for longer more than a month then you can show it to your pediatrician once. Otherwise everything is normal.
