Q.

#asktheexpert my daughter is 3.8 years and her weight is 12 kg only. although she eats less, she is otherwise active and has good eating habits.. is this worrisome and what steps can be taken in order to make her gain weight.

A. dear parent, for healthy weight gain, give a homemade balanced diet having variety of food groups. grains and millets - 3 to 4 servings pulses legumes/egg non veg: 1-2 servings seasonal vegetables including green leafy vegetables: 1.5 serving fruits1 serving milk and milk products 500ml sugar 4 tsp oil 5 tsp control intake of process packaged food
