#AskTheExpert my child is going to be 2 years on April 26. she has have itching in her head from past few days. Can you please let me know why is it so. She is gnawing teeth from past few days, please let me know the reason of that also.

A. I wash head everyday, I checked for lice, there aren't any. Except grinding teeth, there aren't any symptoms mentioned by you for worms.

A. There could be lice or dandruff. If not giving a head bath should take care of tge itching. Do u mean the child is grinding the teeth. It could either be a habit or could be a sign of worms and the child might need a deworming medicine. A worm infection can be suspected if there is a loss of appetite, stomach aches, nausea, vomit or itchiness around anus, sleeplessness, weight loss, blood or worms in stools etc., in that case you can consult with your pediatrician and after required tests you can start with the deworming medicine he prescribes.
