Most of the toddlers are active and their main focus is on running and exploring around, therefore it is important to mix variety of foods so that maximum nutrition can be given even in smaller quantities. Try not to force feed and make eating a fun time. Serve in a Kiddie bowl, plate or Cup with the straw from brands like Babyhug feeding range in different shapes and colors to make it interesting. Keep giving finger foods to develop chewing habits.
To increase weight, include fat and protein rich foods like potato, rice, pumpkin, sweet potato, eggs, chicken, fish, legumes, ghee, milkshakes with dry fruits, banana, avocado and 550-650 ml milk everyday. Feed 3 main meals and 2-3 times healthy snacks.
