#AskTheExpert. my baby saanvi Dutta, age 3yrs, what should be her diet during this age...for brain development.

A. Hello! Child must eat variety of foods specially rich in protein and essential fats to boost her brain development. Foods like sprouts, dals, milk products, nuts, fish etc should be part of her meals. Sample plan - ragi porridge with almond for breakfast, banana + peanut butter as mid-meal, sprouts uttapam for lunch, apple lassi with sabja for snacks, paneer pulao/ egg or fish curry with rice for dinner, milk + walnut before bedtime. U See the kind of food that we prepared on an every day basis is the most healthy food because it has all kind of nutrients and supplements are basically Indian plate is supposed to be the most healthy plate if your child is going to eat all of that then that’s going to be good enough for healthy weight gain and growth overall
