#asktheexpert my baby is premature. now she is 5 months but her weight is just 4.2 kg. would you please guide how to deal with this?

Janani ViswanathanMom of 2 children2 years agoA. You have to check the weight, growth levels and milestones of the baby only by comoaring it with the babys corrected age. Like if ur child was 2 months premature, tgen eben though she is 4 months now she will have only tge growtg respective to 2 months. You can continue to give breastfeeding. Feed longer from one side so the child will get high fat hind milk. consult with ur doctor and get some weight gaining formula only if required. And premature babies will put on weight only slowly.
