If your baby is passing poop that looks like goat poop—small, hard pellets—it usually indicates constipation or that the baby is not getting enough fluids or fiber in their diet. Passing stool after every meal is common in babies due to the gastrocolic reflex, where eating stimulates the bowel, but the stool should be soft and easy to pass.
To help, make sure your baby is getting enough water, especially if they are eating solids. Offer high-fiber foods like fruits (banana, pear, papaya), vegetables, and whole grains if age-appropriate. A gentle tummy massage, bicycle leg movements, or a warm bath may also provide relief. If the condition continues or your baby seems in pain or discomfort while pooping, it’s best to consult a pediatrician.
