Q.

#AskTheExpert My baby is 87 days old, he got his 10th week vaccination on 3rd Oct (painless type). After that he got fever and we gave him Calpol drops. But still his fever is on-off till today. Now he is having cold too (sneezing and light cough) We have started Maxtra also along with Calpol and Nasivion. He is on mother feed but she is also having severe cold. 1.Should we continue mother feed or stop ? 2. There is climate change also, can it be due to weather change? please help.

A. please continue mothers feeding which is very important Cold and cough in the babies are because of viral infections which will take at least five to six days time to subside it is advisable to do steam inhalation frequently to liquefy the secretions as well put nasoclear saline drops in the nose of the baby

A. Yes Yes you can continue with the feeding that you are giving it has got nothing to do with it it will definitely be due to weather change but if the fever has lasted for that long it’s not good you should consult your paediatrician ones
