Q.

#AskTheExpert my baby is 5month 10days old...he is completely on breast milk..but when we check weight he hasn't increased much... he is currently 7kg... when he was 3.5 month he was 6.7 kg.. so oly 300 grm increasing for 1.5 month.. is it normal... he is very active and doesn't cry even when he is hungry.. but sometimes I need to pump breast milk n force feed using bottles... his urine output is good...can you suggest

A. Weaning food can be started from 5-6 months of age and in that initially in the stage 1 you can introduce some semi solid food to the baby like Banana mango plum boiled Apple and then gradually you can start with some Puri of carrot potato other ftoods which can be given are porridge of suji e sabudana can be prepared in breast milk or formula mtilk. initially you can start with one or two tsp which can be gradually increased up till at least three meals in a day

A. hi dear Babies between 4 and 6 months old generally take anywhere from 3 to 5 ounces of breastmilk from a bottle during a given feeding. ... It is more than OK if your baby does not finish their bottle at a given feeding. Babies are born knowing how much they need.
