#AskTheExpert My baby is 5 months old and her weight is not increasing. In 15 days it increased by 20 grams only previously it was 6.630 kg and now 6.650kg . She is active and urine output is also more than 6 times. I am so worried why her weight is not increased ? Can you please help me out for this

A. baby will be gaining very good weight in first 5 months of age the birth weight will become two times by the end up 5 months and it is only 3 times by the end of 1 year of age

A. If your baby's doctor thinks it's necessary, you may have to supplement your baby with additional feedings of either pumped breast milk or infant formula. You can also try to pump and separate your foremilk from your hindmilk. Hindmilk is higher in fat and calories, which can help your baby gain more weight.
