#asktheexpert My baby is 5 months 10 days. She is having problem for sleeping. She wakes up intermittently and cries at high pitch. How to handle the situation?

Dr. Vaibhav jainFather of a 5 yr 9 m old girl4 years agoA. yes this happens. Sleep is important for brain growth and development. For a good sleep baby should be well fed at bed time. Room should be comfortable and quiet.
You can sing a lullaby or play some light music.
Can use swinging or rocking also.
Day night variations are quite common in babies and can be corrected by sleep training as per family schedule

Would advise you to please consult your pediatrician once
as the reasons could be many.
take sunbath daily with her head and ears covered
Don't use RO water as it's demineralized
Use simply purified water having TDS higher than 350
