#AskTheExpert My baby is 43 days old.he is pooping alternate days an some times it is like 2 days also and crying so much.what should I do

Dr. Vaibhav jainFather of a 5 yr 9 m old girl3 years agoA. it's normal for baby. It is absolutely normal for the baby to not pass motion daily even for up to one week if the baby is on breastfeeding and it's not unhealthy. Check for pee counts 6-8/day is fine . if it is above one week or baby s in trouble then you can apply glycerine suppository for easy motion of the baby . no syrup for medicine is given orally till 2 years of age for constipation by yourself as it's not safe .

It’s all normal and common in small baby
No need to worry
Do tummy time and cycling movement of legs regularly it also help baby to make muscle stronger and to reduce gas and constipation
Give adequate feeding
