Q.

#AskTheExpert My baby is 1 year and 3month old. weighs 11.2kg He is having constipation for almost a month now. Cries and makes faces while passing stool. And passes only a small black stool ball at frequent intervals all through the day. He has also been throwing a lot of tantrums while feeding. Also doesn't drink water. What should I do? Also is the black color stool normal?

A. Black poop: Black poop could be a sign of bleeding or other injuries within the gastrointestinal tract. But, black stool can also occur from eating black foods or a lot of iron. You should contact your doctor if you suspect that diet is not the cause of black poop.
