My baby is 1 month old. I had a c section and my stomach is paining when I feed him in sitting position. can I feed him in lying position? My Doctors says not to feed in lying position as milk can enter into his ears but elders suggest to feed him in lying position and nothing will happen. I also have back pain while sitting and feeding. can I feed him in lying position? is there any serious risk in that?

Your newborn may seem so tiny and fragile that you're wondering if it's really OK to feed them while lying on your side. If you take the proper safety precautions, side lying breastfeeding can be done as early as the very first feed. If your little one is very tiny, you may need to give them extra support.
