#asktheexpert my baby got fever of 103 with loose motion since last night , i gave paracetamol drops but fever still shows up after few hours relief

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy1 Year agoA. the first medicine will always be paracetamol and it is given according to weight and power of paracetamol medicine you are having.
give liquids and easily digestible food and paracetamol should be given only after food.
keep the child in cool environment and avoid using woolen clothes when the child is having fever
armpit temperature of hundred or more is considered as fever
to body sponge to decrease thes surface temperature and should be carried out for at least 20 minutes with normal temperature water.
higher mdedicines (ibugesic / meftal-p) whether required or not will be told by the doctor.

I suggest you please consult with your pediatrician about it because physical examination is important for proper diagnosis and treatment
please measure temperature with Babyhug digital thermometer
