POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 5 m old boy6 months agoA. If your 7-month-old baby is facing potty issues (either constipation or loose motions), the approach will differ:
For Constipation: Offer water (2-4 spoons) after meals. Include fiber-rich foods like mashed papaya, pear, prune puree, and spinach. Give moong dal khichdi, oats, and homemade curd to ease digestion. Gently massage the tummy and do cycling exercises. For Loose Motions: Breastfeed/formula feed frequently to prevent dehydration. Give soft, binding foods like rice, apple puree, banana, and sabudana water. Avoid cow’s milk, juices, or heavy foods that irritate the stomach. Use ORS if there are signs of dehydration (dry lips, fewer wet diapers).
If the issue persists for more than 3 days or the baby seems weak or irritated, consult a pediatrician. Let me know if you need more details!
