A. If your 7-month-old baby fell from a 1.4-foot bed and has only a small bump on the head, it’s reassuring that there are no immediate severe symptoms. Keep a close watch on the baby for the next 24–48 hours for signs like vomiting, unusual sleepiness, irritability, loss of consciousness, or feeding difficulties. A small bump is common, and you can gently apply a cold compress to reduce swelling. If your baby behaves normally—feeds well, is alert, and moves as usual—serious injury is unlikely. However, if any unusual symptoms appear, consult a pediatrician immediately for a proper evaluation.
