#asktheexpert my 4 and half month baby girl is avoiding formula and breast milk, she cries a lot these days, she likes to put her hand in the mouth all the time but whenever I try to feed her, she starts crying. should I visit a paediatrician or its because of teething ?

A. Gas in smaller babies is a very common and a Matter of concern most of the times for care giver. its mostly because of immaturity of the gut . formula feed or early introduction of cows milk in babies may be aggravating factor. proper burping after each feed is very important. Enzyme preparations like aglozyme or vitazyme can be beneficial. In elder children plenty of liquids along with high fibre diet isfr important for a good digestion . avoid giving food with maida and other oily and junk food.
