#asktheexpert My 3year old avoids taking all kinds of food. But she is very healthy, active and growing. Should I be worried?

A. If the child is active and healthy and is growing well, then there is nothing to worry about. Toddlers do not eat as much as babies. Offer small portions of food and offer more if the child asks. Give her a bowl and a spoon to eat so that she learns to eat on her own. Let her create a mess and play with the food. This is how she learns to touch, play and finally taste the food.
