#asktheexpert my 3 year old daughter is frequently having fever and vomiting issues. Have consulted the doctor as well but nothing really seems to be doing a permanent work. Please help.

A. Thank you doctor. The fever has subsided but from last 2-3 nights she's getting up around 3-4 am and is crying hysterically. She doesn't complain about any physical discomfort but cries uncontrabally. We are very worried about this.

A. Fever is a response of ththe body to any kind of infection or any inflammatory process in body so you can give paracetamol in a dose of 15 mg/kg/dose as the first line treatment also this dose can be again repeated after every 5 to 6 hours if again required and you can also do cold sponging of the body to reduce fever
