#AskTheExpert my 2years old baby boy didn't eat by himself. I have to grind his food first then make a fine mixture. He swallow his food by spoon feeding. Even he can't brush his teeth. if we try then he do vomit. his weight is 12kg only. please guide

ExpertDr. Garima VermaDentist2 years agoA. this is because you are giving him pureed food since the beginning. you need to stop and give very small bites if normal food. it will take time but the child will start eating soon.

POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 5 m old boy2 years agoA. Children with sensitive gag reflexes often do better with solids that dissolve easily, rather than lumpy pureed foods. Brushing your child's teeth will also often help to make their gag less sensitive. If your child enjoys putting toys in their mouth, provide teething toys that have bumps and different textures.
