Q.

#AskTheExpert my 2 month old got vaccinated yesterday, he is having fever of more than 100 degrees? we have given twice crocin drops but after giving it fever goes down for a while but again it goes above 100 degrees? should we go to doctor or wait for 1 day?

A. yes 3 days when fever and pain comes after vaccination you can give paracetamol to the child for fever as well as pain. paracetamol can be given maximum 4 times per day. you can also apply ice over the injection site. if there is local swelling you can apply ice as well as thrombophob gel. vaccine fever usually subsides in max 2 to 3 days but if it continues beyond 3 days meet your dr to rule out any other causes of fever
