#AskTheExpert my 2 & 1/2 year old son licks the wall and shoes eats hand wash and other things he is not supposed to eat. should I consult a doctor for this

ExpertDr. Mohammed imranPaediatrician3 years agoA. its pica get deworming done and start giving iron supplements Take a well balanced nutritious diet add more fruits and vegetables in the diet add dry fruits powder in the diet maintain hygiene sterilize all the utensils thoroughly to avoid infection

AbhayaMom of a 15 yr 8 m old boy3 years agoA. Hi mom. Yes u need to consult with your doctor for the same. This is pica in babies which is due to nutrient deficiency. Consult with your doctor as he will prescribe supplements after the proper evaluation.
