#AskTheExpert My 11 month baby suffered from high viral fever and then heavy nasal blockage and cough continues till since 1 week. I am using nasal saline drops but it is not cured yet. Facing difficulties in eating and feeding, sleeping. Advice please to cure the nasal blockage so that he can eat and sleep property.

Use steam inhalation. Steam will not shorten the length of the cold, but it will reduce the inflammation in the nasal passages and help to breathe better.

Nasal congestion can be relieved with a few drops (1 or 2) of eucalyptus oil + coconut oil application on the chest
Keep the child comfortable in warm surroundings. Sleeping may be tough because of nose and throat congestion. Use an inclined bedding, raised at the head to help sleep better.

Give indirect steam inhalation 
Take healthy protein rich nutritious food including fenugreek ajwain butter to increase your breast milk avoid stress stay happy it also help to increase your breast milk you can take lactogen tablet to increase bm 
Burp well after evey feeding by holding  your baby in straight right position and wait for burping atleat ten minutes 
Do tummy time and cycyling movement of legs regularly
