Q.

#AskTheExpert My 1 month old is crying non stop for 6 to 8 hrs during nights from last 2 days. she doesn't take feed at the time and always wants someone to hold her. We are not able to understand the reason why she is crying. she has no gas problem. And we don't see this behavior in the mornings. Please advise what could be the reason and how to calm her.

A. try to rule out cause, feed your baby if she is hungry, The second reason babies cry is they need sleep- put them in a comfortable position for sleeping. Being too hot or too cold can make a baby cry. So can clothing that is too tight. Colic is the main cause of recurrent crying during the early months.- Apply Hing paster around naval in clockwise direction. Painful causes include an earache, mouth ulcers, or a raw diaper rash.- do check with your doctor to treat all painful condition.to sooth your baby.. rock your baby in your arms, walk in kangaroo style, swaddle him, do tummy Massage in clockwise direction with cyclic exercise of legs, play White noice to sooth and calm your baby.
