#AskTheExpert #Mamypoko The temperature of my 11 month old baby's feet, palms and forehead is high since last 2 days. His rest body temperature is normal. Is it fever? What shall I do?

A. measure it.if it's more than 99.7 then give medicine

A. It can be seen in many babies. I've experienced the same. My pediatrician said not be worried unless the body temperature is high too. You may sponge his neck and back side of his head once in a day and regular bathing is important.

A. Fever is when the temperature of the body goes above 99 degree fahrenheit and the safest medicine in such situation is paracetamol which can be repeated after 6 hours again if required in a proper dose . Alternativefd medicine can also be tried if required like ibuprofen and mefenamic acid preparations. cold sponging of the whole body with tap water can be beneficial too to bring the temperature down .
