#AskTheExpert #Mamypoko my baby's head and stomach is hot.. can we consider it as a fever or dehydration. he is peeing and sleeping is normal

ExpertDr Mahesh PatilPaediatrician4 years agoA. hi your baby is 2 months old now if only head is feeling hot and rest of the body is cold then it's not fever it can be due to warm climate or head cap or dehydration so give frequent breast feed

Hot head and stomach is normal in babies. This is due to larger head surface area and large number of sweat glands which regulates body temperature. If the body temperature is normal then no need to worry.
