A. To keep your daughter warm from the inside and help with flu prevention, it's essential to include foods that boost immunity and provide warmth to the body. Ginger, garlic, and turmeric are excellent natural ingredients known for their warming properties and ability to enhance immunity. You can add these to her food in small quantities. Homemade soups made with vegetables like carrots, tomatoes, spinach, and lentils are not only comforting but also packed with nutrients that support the immune system. Warm porridges, such as oats or rice porridge, made with milk or water, can keep her body warm while providing energy. Nuts like almonds, walnuts, and cashews, and seeds like chia or flaxseeds, offer essential fats and proteins that can help improve her immune response. Ghee (clarified butter) is another warming food that you can add to her meals to keep her body nourished and warm. Citrus fruits (like oranges and lemons), rich in Vitamin C, help boost immunity and can be served warm in the form of a mild juice or added to soups. Lastly, keeping her well-hydrated with warm fluids like herbal teas (with ginger, tulsi, or cinnamon) or warm water with a pinch of salt can help in maintaining warmth and preventing illness. Additionally, make sure she’s dressed warmly and avoids exposure to cold drafts to protect her from the flu. Always consult with a pediatrician before introducing new foods, especially if your child has any allergies or health concerns.
