#AskTheExpert is it advisable to take covid vaccine while breastfeeding? My baby is 1 yr 1 month old and still taking intermittent feeds throughout day and night. Please advice

Hi, it's not advisable to take covid vaccine during pregnancy and breastfeeding stage, cos enough trials are not done to be sure of it.. once the govt gives an heads-up with the vaccine for lactating mothers and pregnancy u can take it. Before that our safety is in our hands.. Stay home stay safe...

Sarika guptaMom of 2 children4 years agoA. hello there ma'am please do not worry about it too much and it is advisable to take vaccine as per the current situation and also there is very less research available and also better to avoid giving breastfeeding at least one to two weeks as there are some reactions after vaccination.
