#AskTheExpert I got late period this month on 37th days of my cycle. (usually on 30-31 St day).I facing heavy bleeding (more than 80ml blood in a cycle).As per the Dr's advice I am having tranexamic mefenamic tablet on heavy bleeding days from last 2months..is it safe to have these tablets..will it cause late periods???pls help

Thea tablets are safe only and if it is happening again and again then you have to consider hormonal contraceptives so that we can adjust the hormonal disturbances that you have

thank you for the response madam..I had subclinical hypothyroidsm when  I tested 3months back and I started of taking 25mg thyronorm tablets also..still there will be a chance of existing hormanal imbalance ??what test should I take to know this??

better consult your gynaecologist for routine check up and do all routine investigation required and start treatment as advised by your doctor. 
avoid any kind of medication without consulting with your doctor
