#asktheexpert how much calpol 120 to be given to 16 month old??? she got vaccinated n it's really painful what to do??

when fever and pain comes after vaccination you can give paracetamol to the child for fever as well as pain.
paracetamol can be given maximum 4 times per day.
you can also apply ice over the injection site.
if there is local swelling you can apply ice as well as thrombophob gel.d
vaccine fever usually subsides in max 2 to 3 days but if it continues beyond 3 days meet your dr to rule out any other causes of fever

RashmiMom of a 11 yr old girl1 Year agoA. According to the age of the child I would suggest to 1.5 ML but I’m not aware about the current weight of the child but minimum 1.5 ML can be given you can repeat it after six hours again end of the fever is on high grade you can also do cold sponging
