#asktheexpert hii sir my baby premature iugr baby birth weight 1.6kg now he is 20months 2 weeks weight 8kg height 78cm is that ok and he is not saying any words like bye, Amma still he is making sounds only

A. Hello mom as he is been a low birth weight baby so hence the weight gain is slow. not to worry as far as he is active for his age and also eating healthy. offer him all usual family foods. you may consult a speech therapist as the early you do the better as by this age he should be saying small sentences.
