#AskTheExpert .hii Dr aarti... wanted to know my baby is 20 m old ..now. doesn't talk many words oy few words .is it called delay speech . and yes than should I go for speech therapist. ... and she can speak muma dada aaji ajoba .. and than kaka kaki aatu and de ghe

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. you should not worry as you can wait till 3 years of age of the child to speak in complete sentences clearly and fluently if its not so then consult doctor.till that time keep interacting as much as possible and involve the child in language enhancing activities using audiovisual aids too. dont worry if oM ther milestones are normal this will also be achieved in time at times it may get delayed..there are variations in children by age for this. . .
