#AskTheExpert Hi Sir, my 5 months old baby getting ear wax from 10 days we went to hospital and took medicines. but still it's coming out. can you pls say any solution for that.

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy3 years agoA. you have to clean the ears of the child only externally with cotton cloth.
do not use anything like earbuds to clean the internal ear.
this will only do more harm as wax will get impacted inside deep and will cause more problem.
if you feel thact the child is having some problems in the internal ear then kindly meet your doctor for examination.
if the child is having wax problem and not improving with drops you have to get it removed with the help of your ent doctor.

POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 5 m old boy3 years agoA. Usually there is no need to remove your baby's earwax. It has an important role in protecting their ears. It blocks germs that could cause infection from reaching the eardrum and it prevents dirt and dust from entering your baby's ear. Ear wax usually makes its way to the outer ear naturally.
